Mapping Page
After logging into your account, the first tab that comes up is the “Mapping” tab. This tab acts as a home page and contains a list of assets on the left as well as a map on the right. As the first thing the user encounters after logging into the platform, this page perfectly delivers quick information at a ground level to ensure everything is status quo.
The list on the left is color-coded to show the status of your vehicles, and also records a time stamp. From this list you can quickly see whether vehicles are on the move, at a stop, offline, and more. One thing to note is this list presents all assets of the fleet, both moving and still, to simplify the search process for fleet managers.
Next, the map allows you to quickly and easily ensure that vehicles and assets are where they need to be. The map begins zoomed out and “clusters” nearby vehicles, which becomes advantageous when fleets have many vehicles dispersed throughout the country. However, the zoom feature allows you to close in on a region and “de-cluster” the nearby assets. By doing so, you can visually see where each vehicle is and within seconds ensure every asset is where it is supposed to be, which is the first thing that signals a safe and properly-functioning fleet.
After glancing and getting these quick insights, if a user wants to investigate an asset more closely, they can click on the vehicle in the list, and the map will display more insights for the user. One notable feature is being able to pull up the driver’s trips for the day. With one click, a fleet manager now has the capability to track the vehicle’s route and ensure all their tasks are being completed, and likewise identify if a step-back or safety issue has occurred. Each trip has its own color code, making it easy to track how many trips were completed, and separate each route from the others.
Data/Admin
After running through the mapping page, that Data/Admin page contains a plethora of information to fully assess the state of each asset in your fleet.
In this tab, you can identify each asset you are tracking, regardless of the type of asset or type of technology you are using. From low grade devices to fully capable, dual-camera solutions, this UI presents everything in the same format, and gives the user a consistent and streamlined view of their fleet’s valuable information. This information includes high-level metrics such as vehicle status, but using the filter library, deeper analytics like driver scores can be easily pulled. These driver scores allow fleet managers to easily identify which drivers are performing well and which have room to improve, all with the click of a button. The binoculars icon enables the different filters and features that can be displayed, allowing for a customized view that works specifically for the user.
Another benefit that is enabled with this tab is access to the information provided by ECU devices such as the EZ750. Devices like this have the ability to extract vehicle diagnostic information, allowing for the detection of warnings, such as the check engine light being on. In this tab, a fleet manager can go to the “Actions” column and click on the engine icon to view the status of the check engine light. Features like this are critical to the proper maintenance of fleet vehicles, as being too reactionary in vehicle maintenance can lead to longer repair times, higher repair costs, and likewise endanger drivers while on the road. This “Actions” section also includes many great tracking capabilities, including reporting on stops, locations, and trips. So, if there is a specific vehicle a user wants to track, the data/admin tab is a one-stop shop.
Alerts & AI Media Pages
Another section worth better understanding is the “Alerts” tab. This page allows users to set alerts on vehicles so that nothing falls through the cracks while managing the fleet. These alerts are incredibly significant and helpful with respect to practicing proper preventative maintenance schedules. A user can click on the “+” button on the page and set an alert for a specific car when desired criteria is met. When that happens, a notification – either via email or text, based on your preference – is sent to the desired recipient. For example, let us consider a semi-truck that needs basic maintenance once every 15,000 miles. Let us also consider that this fleet has one hundred of these same semi-trucks, and they operate from coast to coast in the United States. For a fleet manager or even a maintenance manager, manually keeping track of when each truck needs maintenance would be a nightmare and full-time job in itself. However, using the alerts tab, a manager can create an alert for the vehicles to notify them when the 15,000-mile condition is met, thanks to the capabilities of hardware solutions such as the EZ750.
